Born in Horta (Azores, Portugal) in 1980, she graduated in Biology, with specialization in Marine Biology, by the University of the Azores in 2003. In 2007 she concluded her Master of Science degree in Environment, Health and Safety, by the University of the Azores and the Lead Auditor in Health and Safety course certified by IRCA.
From 2006 to 2008 worked in the University of the Azores as main technician and also as an environmental consultant in a multinational certification company, collaborating on environmental impact assessment studies and environmental diagnosis.
Since 2007, she is working on the Land Planning and Development, Managment of Hidric Resources and Waste Management fields at Simbiente.
In 2009 she became manager of Simbiente Azores.
